I don’t want to be cheesy at all, because cheesy-ness is the worst, but the purpose of The Film Room (where weddings are concerned) is to make gorgeous films that make everyone feel warm and fuzzy by experiencing other people’s love, lives and relationships. Yes they are personal, but the short films you see on our website are for everyone to enjoy, whether they just want to feel happy, get some wedding inspo or can say “they were there”. I cannot think of any other reasons for these films but I can say that not having a wedding videographer is possibly the number one regret of the newly wedded.
In this blog I’m going to share stories about some of my couples, touch on what it’s like working in the wedding industry and offer advice on planning a wedding based on what we learned while planning ours. I have been to countless weddings and have picked up a lot so I have advice on pretty much everything, including things that will make your wedding vendors happy!
A little bit of a take away; I love my job!
Like every job there will always be your favourite parts and not so favourite parts, but the good certainly outweighs the bad by a long shot! I am 28, one year married, completely in love with my hubby, building a house, working from home, choosing when I work and how I work, loving my clients and happily being able to contribute to our lives. It’s also super fun creating things! I’ll just say that there is an enormous amount of joy in doing something you love for a job, or even a hobby! Just find it and give it 100%
