Nick + Christine’s Story
It took Nick 7 years before he finally made his move for the “sexy little blonde thing with her giant pile of books” at uni. Not until he visited Christine in Europe and went to party with her in Greece did he STILL not make his move… thank goodness Christine did! He well and truly clawed his way out of the “friend zone” after some time, to no surprise of those around them. Their personal history book has grown into a beautiful, unshakable love and some time separated by distance (yes he’s Nick from Survivor Australia) has only strengthened their relationship.
Everything they love and adored was a part of this day. Their passion for books and the written word as English teachers, made for stunning personal vows as well as an incredible literature themed reception featuring a ‘Drinks Library’ and every book title pun one can imagine. Their adorable Cavoodle ‘Roody’ walking down the aisle, a strong appreciation and respect for family and friends…and a killer dance floor.
Let’s just get to the important stuff here; these guys are legends! Super nice, incredibly caring, highly intellectual, slightly sarcastic, true buddies and really really ridiculously good looking, especially the boys in their hip and somewhat controversial ankle bearing, cropped suit pants #anklegate
What a stunning celebration, one that inspires those getting married to be meticulous, thoughtful and personal in their wedding planning. While stress, that pesky budget and every day life can get in the way, Nick and Christine proved that it is well worth it and honestly, magic.
Being present to capture weddings is a super special privelage and some just stay with you. These guys have an awesome story but were also super nice, energetic, pleasant, genuinely in love and easy to get beautiful shots of. Working alongside an incredible photographer with a similar vision to ours made this story a total joy to edit (despite weeping at all the mushy glory) and a perfect representation of this moment in time for Nick and Christine…if I don’t say so myself.
